In recent times, i've mainly been playing indies and mods of older games.
I will get slapped for this but I really enjoyed Dragon Age 2 and Bulletstorm !
I preferred DA2 over DA1. I got bored of DA1 and stopped half way through. DA2 was brilliant.
However Witcher 2 has been my defining Pc game of this year !
Starcraft 2 great game
fifa 12 and also started to try out pes 2012
Witcher 2 was absolutely incredible. Had its minor flaws, but what game doesnt.
Was so happy to play this game, felt really privelledged.
Definitely BF2 for me. Apart from its obvious flaws it was an amazing game![]()
oooh i'd say TF2. i've rediscovered it all over again. if i'm allowed another i'd say Minecraft - even though it's in beta
for me, it's dungeon defenders. It's quirky and original (played the demo, released in 2 days). It's fun, addictive, tongue in cheek, doesn't take itself too seriously and has low enough requirements that you can play it on a rig 6+years old.
Seriously, if you've not heard about it yet, look into it. It's only £9 as well.
for me it's Rage and Sc2
Oooooh, hope you're all patched up - there used to be a game-breaking bug if you installed NWN2 and then MotB straight from the disks...
I have to say (being a massive fan of NWN) that NWN2 left me pretty cold compared to the original. Although, now the nights are drawing in, I may have to go back and give it another shot.
The big game for me the last couple of years has been Torchlight. Very much the update the Diablo series needed whilst we all waited paitently for D3, and nice and lightweight (to the extent that I can play it on my HTPC at 1080p with everything turned on - that's a Sempron 140 + HD4200 IGP). Plus the level-by-level basis makes it great for dropping into and out of.
Fallout 3, Fallout NV and GTA 4 for me. You can get those 3 pretty cheap now if you haven't played them already, but I'd wave goodbye to any social life if you do!.............![]()
Starcraft 2. Unbelievaly great.
Torchlight was bloody good, if a bit repetitive. In a similar vein I enjoyed titan Quest
"Free speech includes not only the inoffensive but the irritating, the contentious, the eccentric, the heretical, the unwelcome and the provocative provided it does not tend to provoke violence. Freedom only to speak inoffensively is not worth having."
A lot of these have been said already, but for me it's the following in no particular order...
- Crysis and Crysis Warhead,
- Assassins' Creed (the entire series so far),
- Mass Effect 2,
- Battlefield Bad Company 2 (although BF3 is out in a few days),
- and Portal 2.
All of them have taken up many hours of my gaming time, thoroughly enjoyable!![]()
