Have been berating my husband about his choices of games posted in this thread (mostly agree but some shocking omissions!)...
To put this in context I am pretty much an RPG gamer, not really into FPS (reaction times a bit slow!). I guess my favourite recent PC games would be:
Fallout 3: NV - brilliant, so much better than Fallout 3, great story, great setting, generally excellent.
Dragon Age: cannot BELIEVE my husband did not include this but fantastic storyline and setting (lots of lore) - and yes, Alastair certainly helps (mm, perhaps that explains it...)
Dragon Age 2: Not getting as much praise as DA:O, but really a good game. Had to take a different tack from DA:O really and definitely had some issues but really enjoyed the story and character development.
The Witcher 2: Husband having built my rig specifically in order to play this back at end of May, I am finally getting round to playing it now and really enjoying it. Voice acting a massive up-step from the first game and it looks REALLY perty on my computer (mr kalniel keeps watching over my shoulder and looking slightly envious so must be good...). So far storyline is OK but The Witcher has never really been about storyline to me so much as immersion and it's doing a good job of that so far.
Finally - and a bit of a step 'outside the box' - it just has to be Plants vs Zombies. it is great. That is all.
