Red Orchestra 2: Heroes of Stalingrad

How many are playing the beta of this at the moment? Got the deluxe edition so nice early access tot he game. Still a fair few bugs in it but understandable as its still a beta, but aside from the few bugs I have had loving the game atm.

Kills are much easier to achieve not because its dumbed down (as this is no hold your hand game), but in the sense that it a one shot kill. If I shoot a guy in the chest, I know that shot will kill him if my aim is right.

Not had much experience with the tanks yet, and tbh its not a part of the game i'm that bothered about.

One thing that is odd to me is the profile stats. Now when I look at min it says I have 123456789 kills lol Is this the same for anyone else?

Another thing that is strange is the number of serves with massive pings!! Is this because they are not based in Europe ?

Re: Red Orchestra 2: Heroes of Stalingrad

Beta is very buggy. Difficult to give an opinion as it keeps crashing. Seems quite laggy as wellso will need to tweak things I guess.

Plenty low ping servers from what I can see - you just need to sort by ping and look at the relevant end of the list.

Re: Red Orchestra 2: Heroes of Stalingrad

I did have an issue after the last update where it woudl crash on launch, but this was sorted by right clicking on the beta and clicking one of the option (think it was verify) Did have a few crashes before when it was released, but the last patch has sorted that apart as I said about the launch bit (which is sorted now)

The high pings seem to be down to one of the patches from what some of the server admins are saying.

Still loving it atm!!! Wonder if BF3 will eat any time out of it :|

Guess that's what betas are for! Betas can either be for bug fixing or publicity - I played the CoD W@W beta and there we're lots of bugs: getting under maps, on top of maps, trapping players, spawn bugs. Thing is, NONE of them were fixed. It was purely used as a demo, for publicity. Whereas, I hope that I *hope* that this beta will be used to fixed those bugs. Lets wait and see!

They did fix the server bug where if you moved the mouse before the list had loaded, then it would crash to desktop. Think there is a list somewhere for all the bugs that have been found, and fixed since the public beta went live.

Can anyone else get to the forum? http://forums.tripwireinteractive.co...splay.php?f=70

No idea why I get that.

Just tested the link and it's fine here too.

Edit: "http://forums.tripwireinteractive.com/forumdisplay.php" points to an invalid forum whereas "http://forums.tripwireinteractive.com/forumdisplay.php?f=70" works fine.
My only concern is should I hide my true identity? A costume maybe?

Not sure what to suggest. Have you tried clearing your browser's cache (CTRL F5)?

Just a thought, have you tried rebooting your router to get another IP address?

Nope no luck! Will shut the router off and on tomorrow. Just very odd as there is no issue with any other site!

edit: tried from my phone and sometime I get through to the forum, other times I get the message above!
