Do you have to pre-order to sign up for guilds before release date? If so, I will probably not pre-order until Dec, but will keep your guild in mind.
What type of server are you looking to play on? PvE? PvP? RP?
no you can signup for guilds when ever you like, you just need 4 pre-ordered members (which we already have) to offically create your guild and get it imported into the game when its released without having to do it all on release day :)

**WORD OF WARNING WHEN PRE ORDERING**
Make sure your login for www.swtor.com email is the same as your origin account or you will have to register a new Origin account, the two are linked, i made that mistake and now im having a mega ball ache trying to sort it out.
Origin CS is excellent, they sorted a certain aspect of it out right away, but trying to get hold of Bioware to sort that account out is a flaming nightmare.
