Re: Star Wars: The Old Republic

Do you have to pre-order to sign up for guilds before release date? If so, I will probably not pre-order until Dec, but will keep your guild in mind.

What type of server are you looking to play on? PvE? PvP? RP?

Re: Star Wars: The Old Republic

no you can signup for guilds when ever you like, you just need 4 pre-ordered members (which we already have) to offically create your guild and get it imported into the game when its released without having to do it all on release day

    Nope.

They confirmed all editions will get the same early access.

There is no "pay more to play early"... apart from the obvious price drop which will happen after release.

    Seems you are correct.

This must have been confirmed after I bought the game =]

Having difficulty locating your guild, can you link to it?

Or advise what type of server and what faction you will be?

lol, i just tried looking and there are about 20-30 Guilds called "The Council".

It'd also be great to know what Faction and Server Type you'd be on, i've got my own Guild atm which consists of a bunch of close friends, but i wouldn't be adverse to creating an Alt in your Guild if possible (and if Republic, then you'd probably be my only Republic chars.)

Re: Star Wars: The Old Republic

Typical, I move house, have to wait 3 weeks for broadband to be setup as the previous tenant had his line disconnected and I get a Beta invite!

I'm just popping out to buy an internet dongle.

If you're on about ones received yesterday-ish then they're "standardised" invites sent out to anyone who applied to be in the Game Testing program.

As such, they still haven't said exactly when your beta test date will be.

**WORD OF WARNING WHEN PRE ORDERING**

Make sure your login for www.swtor.com email is the same as your origin account or you will have to register a new Origin account, the two are linked, i made that mistake and now im having a mega ball ache trying to sort it out.

Origin CS is excellent, they sorted a certain aspect of it out right away, but trying to get hold of Bioware to sort that account out is a flaming nightmare.

    ?

They recently updated it so they merged the SWTOR and Origin databases (where SWTOR pw's overwrote Origin pw's).

Was very frustrating as it happened just before the launch of BF3, i couldn't log into Origin because previous password requirements were less strict (they let you use symbols, whereas now it's just numbers + letters). Thus, when it copied over, it didn't count my PW as being a valid PW.

Anyhow, just change your SWTOR PW now and it should be fine?
