Hexus Gaming Online - Week Nights

We haven't played in thing for ages, so I put it that the usual suspects, and those wishing to join that we get something going again this week, does tis evening suit anyone ? From say 8pm, the usual catalog of games, plus maybe some new ones if there's anything we haven't tried.

Skype is a great help too

Games we play/have played are as follows -

Left 4 Dead 2
Team Fortress 2
Battlefield Bad Company 2
Counterstrike Source
Half Life 2 Death Match

We've previously looked into :

UT2004
UT3

Also looking at some other games that perhaps do not require Steam, as I know some users here aren't keen on it so we can add them to the list aswell.

Could be up for it for about and hour or two, cant tonight however.

Would possibly suggest Team Fortress 2 to add to that list as its now free on Steam.

TakTak also setup a game of the origional UT a few years ago, its was great fun, possibly do UT3 now though as its cheap enough on Steam

Will have to download BFBC2, TF2, HL2DM, CS Source, LFD2 and UT3 again.

Not interested in GTA 4 at all and not overly interested in HL2 DM, havnt played CS ever so would be a learning curve! I prefer the team based type stuff rather than out and out DM

We've always used Skype in the past, but open to other suggestions uch as Vent.

Got Skype and a decent headset as well so will get stuck right into it

I struggle for regular nights but a bit of Dead Island would be nice, assuming you can match up with friends as I've not bothered to figure that one out yet!

Might be worth mentioning Crysis multiplayer, its £2.50 on Steam today as the daily deal. Worth every penny for a decent single player game, not overly sure what multi is actually like but it cant be to bad.

It's not even worth trying it out tbh, I played it when the game was still new so plenty were online and it was awful.

The game engine just isn't designed for MP gaming imo.
