I'm just wondering how it would ultimately work if it's true.

Given how origin and steam are so alike, it would seem kinda ridiculous to have an overlay upon another overlay.

Perhaps they'll do away with origin and just use steam alongside battlelog but even that I detest, using a web browser to connect to servers, really?

I wish EA would embrace steamworks instead of going with origin as users would've been better off in my opinion, one can only dream.

This seems like they've done this for one reason, and one reason only, to be different.

I've largely avoided the beta so far because of the browser-server issue. Hopefully the community can kick up enough of a fuss to force them to look into alternatives.

I'd still buy the game if there was promises made from EA that Origin would be replaced/improved vastly. Otherwise I'm steering clear until it reaches a price point that reflects the awkwardness of Origin...

if it does go on steam we will probably be able to get it for £20 in the Christmas sale steam during holidays
