I hate the sound of Tornado's on full reheat, was on annual camp at RAF Leeming when the Bosnia thing was on a fair few years back, being woken up at 6:30 everyday for a week by 2 of them tearing down the runway wasnt my idea of fun

Shame I missed it tho would of been nice to meet a few more of u lot....

I'll echo the sentiments, what a great day, and it was good to meet all those people who kept shooting me down the night before

Of course the real benefit is that I'm sat at work, everyone else is running around stressed like idiots, and I'm sat here with a grin on my face still

Am going to have to work hard on resisting the temptation to have a new PC built, get broadband and install IL2. I've not got a life as it it, what with work / gym / gaming / bookwriting and driving (away from Spalding as it's the ar** end of nowhere). Though I suppose I could start doing the lottery again and dream.....

Heh, I have to keep smiling because the sunburn on my forehead hurts like anything if i put worry/stress/anger lines on.

The warm glow is still there, although i'm getting to the point where i am just about given up at work now, no more work just relaxing before starting new job next week

Perhaps I should have said "Build a fast PC from scratch", mine still has Win95 on it and is capable of running Diablo / Hellfire and games of a sim. spec. I've only got it for writing my book on

    Hello!!!

Just want to say that I had a FANTASTIC time on Sunday!

I dont do the whole IL2 thing (so shouldnt be posting here really) - but it was really cool to meet up with you all, some Ive already met and great to put faces to other names which have become quite familiar!
The day was beautiful, the company was great and the planes were amazing!

My highlights include the Tornado, the Sally B and spending the day with a great bunch of people!
Thank you all for putting up with my lack of aviation knowledge....

Tig - rest assured that I too am currently BRIGHT red and sunburnt, I was radiating heat yesterday and the swelling on my arms has just gone down! I actually have scald marks on the lower part of my legs! Ouch!
Please can we have less of the Ronald McDonald comments - dont want people thinking I have HUGE feet, just cos im abnormally tall! (Otherwise the Ice Cream photo will be making an appearance!!)

Thank you to Mr and Mrs Deck and family for their hospitality and for driving me down there!

Ok - Im outta your Forum now feel like an intruder, somehow!

Hope to catch up with you all soon.....

    xXx
