    Good joystick for pc?

Right looking for a decent joystick, cant seem to locate my old joystick with forcefeedback. Having to use a logitech attack 3 stick atm and its average, was only a 5er when i got it...

Has to have forcefeedback/vibration, kinda baffled as to why alot of sticks arent coming with that any more, have i missed something?. Not fussed buying new or second hand, max budget £50.

    Re: Good joystick for pc?

force feedback doesn't really help much in a proper sim. it just gets you killed.

    I have one of these
    http://www.scan.co.uk/products/cybor...x%29-12-button

    and had both previous Cyborgs.

    Not bad at all.

    Re: Good joystick for pc?

hmm, i get what you mean but i havent picked up any flight sims in awhile.... more looking for a setup for bf3 and probably ace combat, i personally find some feedback is great for the overall immersion. Dont mind if i get killed alot .

Loved the saiteks, had a very old cyborg 2000 i believe? still working now but not in my possession anymore

This isn't the most coherent article, but it's rare enough these days that someone actually attempts to do a group joystick review/knowledge article:

I completely agree. I bought one as a stopgap when my Sidewinder FF Pro died while I found another but the Logitech was so good to use that I never bothered looking for a replacement.

    Re: Good joystick for pc?

Thrustmaster T1600, It uses Hall effect sensors instead of potentiometers, so is a lot more accurate, and will not suffer from jumpy input when the contacts inevitably get dirty. Most other joysticks in your price range will have potentiometers. The only negative from me for this stick, is that you need quite big hands. My Cyborg Evo was more comfortable to use, but was low resolution and i got bored of cleaning the pots every few months!

    Re: Good joystick for pc?

I always found the Saitek sticks to feel really flimsy and far too light. If you have to stick it to the desk with suckers it takes a lot of the accuracy of control away due to play in the suckers.

Mind you, I am biased against Saitek anyway. I had one of their keyboards and it was the crappiest POS I've ever used which kind of puts me off the rest of their products.

Don't really understand how suckers can take away from the gameplay? Wasn't aware that sticks in real aircraft slid about the place! I thought they usually stay put in one place.

    Re: Good joystick for pc?

A joystick with a bit of weight to it, a wide enough base and rubber pads doesn't slide about when you use it, or at least my old Sidewinder didn't and my current Logitech doesn't. Suckers are flexible and I found that flex made the Saitek joystick wobble when I borrowed one from a friend and used it.
