Re: What games is my PC capable of?

I never said anything about running it at high settings you need to mess with the setting and try optimine
I can just about run it on my eeepc 901 netbook with everything at minimum, it runs better on my core2duo laptop (which is the older and worse GMA x4500 intel graphics chipset) smooth at minimum view distance, playable at one up from minimum.
Also note that it's only single threaded so multicores does nothing for it, but yes it does need a bit of gpu ommph.

non-3d games should be great, Plants vs Zombies, peggle, Death Spank etc

Yes - if we put our serious hats on I'm sure we could come up with tons of fantastic games that don't need a 3d beast to be great fun. Torchlight, PvZ, Avadon, Machinarium, Peggle, Puzzle Quest for eg. just looking down my steam games list.

    Severance: Blade of Darkness.
    http://www.play.com/Games/PC/4-/1041...rlrefer=search

    Must be cheaper elsewhere.

Plays on an old MSI Hermes which is an Intel P4 at 2gig, 1gig ram, on an Intel 845GV board, onboard graphics. Sair's had this PC for 8 years.

Severance, with a little practice, is still one of the finest sword swinging games ever made. 4 charater choices, 2 have shields and single handed weapons, two have two handed weapons.

LOads of monsters, traps, good combat too. Level up for better attack combo's.. a very very good game. You can throw things at monsters, including the limbs, weapons and skulls of the monsters you've already hacked apart.

I love it... have played through many times.
