You need to turn AA on!

1024x768 full wack AA on etc looks better than 1600x1200 non AA in my humble babble.

I'm more concerned with keeping my fps to a flyable level to be honest, I'm not running the most powerful of rigs.

To be honest when you view it in the native res or higher you don't see them. I guess you're viewing the shot in 1024x768?

Everthing cranked up to max apart from view distance (medium) and water (medium)

Thought as much, I can just get away with similar settings but get the odd stutter when it gets busy.
