Over the last few years, I've had LMB problems (double-clicking) after using DeathAdder mice for about 6-9 months and the only solution has been to replace them. I believe I'm on my third or fourth DeathAdder.
I do use my computer quite often, but nothing that should cause the LMBs to act in the way they do. The problem is definitely known to Razer, as it's not just me who has experienced this issue with the DeathAdder.
The funny thing is, this hasn't put me off the mouse. I absolutely love the DeathAdder, which is why I haven't switched brands in spite of the problems.
I would try to wait till you can get somewhere where you can get hands on experience with a selection I used a logitech Media Play mouse for ages I liked it so much that when it was taken out of production I bought 3 to cover me, mid last year the last of them died so had to buy a new one. I bought a few different types from Razer, Steel series, some horrible coolermaster mouse (which amazingly was nice to use but corded and cord was too inflexible) I went to PC world tried a few put my hand on a G700 and found a new friend (geek sentimentality there) it sits nicely in my hand and I regularly switch mouse from left to right hand however the mouse being designed for the right, still sits and is perfectly usable in my left hand with ease (even the 4 side buttons I find easy to use in WoW pvp with my little finger).
Logitech MX518, have mine for over 6 years now and so far I've had no problems at all.
my G9 replacement G700 arrived today, cant say i am getting on with it, wonder if i should flog it on here and stump up for the RAT9
G700 isn't suitable for my huge hands...
just how it fits my hand, not quite for me.
i hold the g9 with my finger tips, the 700 lets my entire hand rest on it. i guess such a swap in size is whats put me off as i wasn't looking for a huge change in how i hold a mouse due to my desk setup. weights about the same as a g9 with the extra ballast..
anyway, its up in the for sale section but your 52 posts shy of viewing it :)
Cyborg R.A.T 7 - Your able to make it fit your hand and its a mouse made for FPS, also feels solid unlike a lot of the cheaper plastic feeling mouse out there, give it a try just don't let the design put you off!! (You might be able to test a few different mice at PC World).
just put a RAT9 on order.
Anyone have any experience with Zowie products? I'm very close to ordering an EC2 Evo.
I am using a Razer Deathadder 3500 gaming mouse for playing my most favorite games and believe me no gaming mouse can be better than this. It's simply awesome device for games.
SteelSeries Sensei looks good. Haven't tried one though.
RAT9 went back, it was crap!
Razer Mamba arrived this morning!
