    Need a gaming mouse

    Hi All,

I really need to update my old intellimouse explorer. I had a logitech g500 from my wife for Christmas but found that it gave me cramp - I am used to more support for the 2 rightmost fingers, and a slightly lower mouse. So unfortunately the otherwise great G500 had to go. Does anyone else find logitech stuff incompatible? If so, what can you recommend? Need switchable dpi (to 3-4k minimum), a few buttons, comfort, hopefully sub £40-50.

I was hoping to get a feel for something down the shops but can't think of anywhere in Swansea that will have a decent selection. So if anyone knows what I mean and doesn't like Logitech stuff - tell me what you use.

    Thanks

    Re: Need a gaming mouse

Are you right or left handed?

I'm gonna assume right for now, and suggest the Roccat Kone. I've been using it for a very long time now and it's brilliant, I've never had a single issue with it and honestly can't recommend it enough.

    Re: Need a gaming mouse

Main concern is about FPS, but i used to play a lot of WoW a few years back. I am looking in particular for people who found the Logitech stuff uncomfortable to use and have found other things instead.

    Re: Need a gaming mouse

Well all of the buttons on the mouse are programmable with the software that it comes with, so it could be worth a look, havent really tried it with an FPS.. Will download my CS:GO Beta and tell you what its like when i get home!

    Re: Need a gaming mouse

i have not used any of the mice mentioned in this thread but am currently using my now rather old Razor Copperhead that hasnt let me down for a very very long time, so checking some Razor mice out might be an option they do wireless and wired, which i personally prefer wired as they seem to be more responsive imo, and also do not require batteries or charging every night.

    Re: Need a gaming mouse

A friend pointed out another forum where someone mentioned this:

    http://www.aceofsweden.com/edge3200.html

Now need to see if I can find it for less than amazon's 55+ quid. I think that would sort my grip issues.

    Re: Need a gaming mouse

What about a Cyborg R.A.T 7. They are about £50 on eBay and fully customizable. From height, to width, to length, to pinky rest, thumb rest to weights.

Its basically a overkill mouse with everything about it customizable.

    http://cyborggaming.com/prod/rat7.htm

On Amazon they are expensive, but even the Cyborg R.A.T 3 is only £30, which is just as good. Max DPI of 3200DPI Lazer mouse.

RAT 7 is one of the latest, pricey on Amazon. Cheap on eBay.

RAT 3 is cheapest, and still customizable but still darn good.

1 more vote for the R.A.T 7, I have the 9 only because I have a very small desk & need a wireless mouse.

You can send me that g400. I have been using the mx518 for years now (or another model, but same form factor) and I just love it. Never had cramps and always great performance on that.

Unfortunately I can not recommend any other model because of that. I have seen the Cyborg used before and people generally liked it.

Logitech g400 was in Scan's Today Only for £23.40. It's as good as the MX518 - basically the MX518 updated resolution and different pattern on the shell.
