    Re: Recommend me some games

    Funny moose

I did play Mass Effect 2 and am going to avoid any game by Bioware from now on. Nothing as annoying as pausing the game and choosing your incidenary ammo or other special ammo, which takes time to recharge before you can use again?

Crysis 2's storyline and charcter design of the aliens was rubbish. Didn't enjoy the game one bit.

GRAW didnt feel right, just tried playing it.

Love Bulletstorm, absolutely fantastic game from start to finish. It literally lands in the fun to play side of things. Solid shooter mechanic, decent length and quite a good story which takes you all over the place on the planet.

Let's look at 3rd person games instead. So, again, along the lines of AC ...

    Arkham City/Asylum?

What is your "medieval" requirement exactly, as i see you like AC?

    Re: Recommend me some games

    You mentioned PS3 there.

Uncharted series are amazing, havnt played the third one yet but the first 2 games had me hooked from the moment I put the disc in. Literal rollercoaster ride from start to finish with some awesome set pieces.

Shadows of the Damned, kind of like a comedic version of Resident Evil 4, plays really well, really good script albeit a bit linear. Still its a great game and well worth looking into. Rescue your girlfriend by venturing into hell with a skull that can become a gun and bike etc.

Bayonetta is decent also if you like the Devil May Cry series. Mechanics are similar and the action pieces can actually be faster and more manic than the DMC series. Well worth a look if you want something a bit different.

Red Dead Redemption. Fantastic western game, one of Rockstars best. Prefer this over their GTA series. Just has a lot more depth and I REALLY like the setting.

LA Noire is a pretty good game, mixes the whole face thing for interrogations with crime scene investigations. Then you do have some large sections where it turns into a third person shooter mechanic. Interesting game, must admit still havnt finished it yet as if you play it in long stints its can get a bit samey. Good if you have a few things on the go at once.

Bad Company 2 ... seemed great first with all the PhySX like effects and now I am bored. You are a soldier, do this mission, that mission ... pff!

Aren't there any good FPS games with aliens like Crysis ( i.e. alien weapons, difficult alien bosses ) OR 3rd person games like Splinter cell conviction ?

    Re: Recommend me some games

RAGE is a good shooter mate, so is that Wolfenstein that is on sale today. Singularity is also another good shooter. Think something like these games would be right up your street. Strange weapons and gadgets to play around with and decent locations.

    Singularity :

    Wolfenstein :

Battlefield games have a SP campaign tacked on at the end of development usually as they are more multiplayer orientated.

Cant wait for Syndicate myself, looking really good. It does kind of look similar to DX HR which is another awesome game.

    Re: Recommend me some games

That Crysis 2 mod looks awesome. Do you know if it fixes the water glitch? The one where the GPU is forced to calculate the tesselation effects for water surfaces even when there is no water visible so all that happens is that the GPU ends up performing loads of calculations it doesn't need to.

    Oh, and back on topic:

Borderlands is one of my favourites, I love the graphics, it's nice that people do something different from time to time.
    Prince of Persia
Burnout Paradise City (If EA still have it on sale for £5)
    Battlefield Bad Company 2
Dirt 2 or Dirt 3 (I prefer Dirt 2 but not really played enough of Dirt 3 to know for sure)
Batman AA or AC or even both
    Test Drive Unlimited 2
    Left for Dead 2
    Aliens Vs Predator

Not sure TBH,however, there seems to be no loss in performance over the normal DX11 pack. My Core i3 2100 and an HD5850 1GB seemed to run the game fine at 1680X1050 under DX11,with the custom pack using extreme settings. With your setup, the game I would suspect would run quite well now!!
