    F-15 Airshow Vid

Just a home-made video I found of an F-15 display at an Australian airshow - awesome demonstration of sheer power, and you can really appreciate the sheer noise this thing makes despite the limitations of recorded sound.

Its a hefty 45meg but worth a look for any jet-heads

Ahh, good ol' anthonyjhicks.com. I'd recommend the the MiG-29 GT video on there, Under the Air Tattoo 2003 vids section. Very good.

Download this one, it may be 119Mb, but it's well worth it

Nice one on that Mig29GT vid - you'll need quicktime to view it though Dak

The commentator's not wrong when he says its a gas guzzler - christ i've had longer flights in Me163s Couple of lovely tailslides but he messed the cobra up

Beautiful aircraft - one of my favorites

Yea, I know what you mean about the Kobra, I'm sure hes just put the Gas on too early. Still, it's a bloody tricky manouvere I should imagine. Another great vid is the one of the F/A-18F SuperHornet, I think in the Avalon Airshow 2003 section. Just look at the length of its takeoff with a full weapons load! 2 SuperHornets are gonna be appearing at RIAT 2004 apparantly, one with the same pilot, should be an interesting display.

One of your favorites? Good taste, my absolute favorite at airshows, although since seeing the Eurofighter it has a very close second.

First time I saw the Typhoon was at Farnborough about 7 years ago, it did a flypast with a Spit mk9 in close formation past the crowd, the most amazing thing was - you could only hear the Spit

The Su37 was there too , it was grounded for some reason

Wow, fantastic photo opportunity. The closest i've seen to that was at Mildenahll Air Fete in, I think, 98, with a flypast of 3 P-51's and an F-15E Strike Eagle. Have you seen the typhoon since then? I swear it is the loudest Jet Fighter ever on take off. At Waddington it performed a double Immelman and then went into a pure vertical climb straight from takeoff. Very powerful!

Not since, no That was the amazing thing - from the incredible noise of take-off and a few stunts, it linked up with the Spit and throttled down to stay alongside her - those engines were nearly silent - incredible.

Yea, thats another cool vid on that anthonyjhicks site, the Typhoon performing a full aerobatic display, it performs a so called 'defensive barrel roll' and the rate it slows down is incredible. If you saw it 7 years ago it only had RB-199 engines (same as the Tornado), they provide only 3 quarters of the thurst that it now has, and still the few the RAF have now are interim engines, and they expect another 10% increase when they receive the 'proper' full in service aircraft. Apparantly it is the only aircraft in the world which is capable of a sustained 5G turn at over Mach 1, and is the most manueverable aircraft in the world over Mach One, pity about it's short range though.

Rubbish?! mpeg4 is fanastic . Very high compression and very high quality. Kinda strange though, as it plays in both Windows Media Player and Quick Time on my computer Try downloading the latest quicktime, try downloading VideoLAN and playing it in that, or try forcing it in media player.
