just out of curiosity how do people get these vouchers in the first place? are they usually given when buying a game or when you preorder a release or something?
No, they were part of a xmas promo I think, you buy a game or something then get either a lump of coal, a free game or as for most including me a % off voucher.
Valve run competitions which include these as prizes.
