Crowdsourced Hardcore Tactical Shooter

A friend sent me a link to this game project, aiming to create a 'hardcore tactical shooter', the sort of thing we've been missing for some time (thinking SWAT, original SOCOM games, etc) but it will only go ahead if they get enough funding. It's all detailed on the site but you can pledge however much you want, $15 or more and you'll get the game on release. If it doesn't get funded, you don't get charged, if you're not familiar with Kickstarter.

Yes, I know I sound like an advert, but I'm just really interested and want to share it and try to gain some interest. :) I have no involvement whatsoever with the company and only just learned about it myself.

Sounds very cool! I would love to pledge 5 grand to get that customised Beretta! Customs would have a field day!

They've redesigned the page and description recently and it looks a lot more professional.

The pledges have gone up by around $20K in 2-3 days which is good.

However it's still only just at the halfway mark so get pledging and tell more people :P.

Not looking good, really hope it makes it (ive pledged some towards it), im an avid fan of the swat games and they were really fun back in the day with a couple of mates on the xbox and pc! I really want something like this back, BF3 is amazing in large scale but i do hope a more close quarters game with better realism can come along.

Hopefully he gets the money!.
