    GOG Got A Makeover

The above is only an excerpt. Here's the source.

Just thought I alert you guys to the makeover and get your opinions on GOG in general. What do you think? I am impartial on the new look but all other additions are making me happy, especially the revamped Community Wishlist where I have already placed multiple votes, one of which being for the addition of Linux versions of games. Apparently the folks at GOG listen! GOG is also introducing indie games such as the upcoming Legend of Grimrock to their catalog which of course will be free of DRM and regional pricing. Hopefully bigger developers and publishers catch on to the GOG philosophy!

At least they are calling it a new version rather than pretending to go out of business like they did last time.

What happened last time? I remember there being lots of confusion but I don't remember GOG ever saying that they will be going out of business or anything of the sort.

Although they never mentioned it was going out of business, they implied it. Thanking all the users that had supported them etc, etc.

As for the new look, it's ok. Little different really. I'm glad they brough back games 'coming soon' they had it origionally but seemed to forget it was there. New games kept appearing but there was never anything 'coming soon'
Good to have indy games on there too.

Ah, I see. Well, implications depend on how you perceive them, right? GOG probably never intended to send that kind of message to their users! Also, I agree, the differences are not that apparent but they are definitely there. Lots of small things that you don't see at first glance. They are also improving as we speak, making little amendments here and there. They were my favourite digital distributor before and are doing much to keep it that way, it seems!
