AFAIK,D3 is region locked. If someone has friends in the US or Asia then it would be a tad annoying.

Cat its not region locked, you can swap to any server but it just seems you cant transfer your characters . Much like d2 where you had east and west and you can join/switch between but characters were independent.

D3 isn't region locked per se, just your heroes. So if you've got friends in the US/Asia then you just create heroes for playing with them on the US/Asia server and can't transfer them to a different region afterwards.

So technically, we can play on other servers no problem, just not with our existing characters.

Well if your friends are in the US then you would just use the US servers and not have to do different play throughs. Even if you've got friends all around the world just agree which region you'll all play in and you're good to go (until that region's server is down )

Depends what you enjoy. But most people would play some of the classes with some friends, and others with others or on your own. There are 5 classes, but there's no need to repeat play throughs with them unless you want to.

Right, so more a setting thing that a type of game. Know what you mean - I was basically the opposite for a long time - would only play fantasy games (and driving) on the PC, despised modern or Sci-Fi. I like the odd sci-fi now, but still don't enjoy modern settings.

I think the easiest way to describe Diablo is Borderlands from a top down perspective - if you've played Borderlands.

Im semi raging... it takes 3 hours to come to the conclusion that its still unresolved. I still like how it says all battle.net games are unavailable yet my sc2 works fine and so does the america and asia d3 servers.

Ugh, i dont think ive ever been so frustrated by a flipping game...

It's just keeping communication lines open - would look worse if they only posted initially then don't say anything until it's resolved as people would start complaining of being ignored.

Watching the official forums is perversely amusing at the moment..

I have played Borderlands,but luckily for me any other people I know who play D3 are in Europe.

i know Kalniel, i just cant seem to get over the fact its down . Normally id just be able to drop it and switch games but i woke up wanting to play it and now been told i cant so im just sat here scouring the d3 forums to develop ideas for how to use my mage skills in anticipation lol!
