Did you get the digital version? It takes 72 hours to unlock to full apparently - some kind of anti bot measure.

The patch has lowered performance for me - can't assess framerate as the rate counter has broken with the patch as well, but it gets jerky quite often now on the same settings as before (though had to set again manually as the patch reset the options as well). Maybe the profiling isn't picking up the new exe or something, though performance is also worse on my wife's machine which is a completely different make of GPU. Repair costs are now quite a gold sink which is a little annoying though possibly required for economic reasons.

Otherwise I don't mind it too much. Probably better overall, though needs more work.

Yeah it was the digital version, finally saw the blue post on the forums today! Better late than never ehhh

Really enjoying the game aside from that limiting factor, obviously havent been able to progress too far yet but I can recommend it aside from that

Got my copy delivered from Tesco (£28) on Saturday and I've just completed normal mode. Took me 17 hours to pretty much play through the whole of normal mode and go through all the dungeons - Longer than I expected; thought I'd complete it in like 12.

Going to be speed running now though through Nightmare and Hell modes I think (if I can). Playing a wizard Been playing on 20fps the whole time on 1440p though lol.

What do you rate this game? To me it looks pretty damn boring and repetitive from watching others play it. There also seemed to be no background music, or very quiet background music. That could just be the laptop of the person I was watching though.

Definitely all about the loot! Although story was enjoyable first time through and I still keep getting random side quests. Needless to say, I'm really enjoying it, bought it a while after release and don't regret it at all. On my 3rd run through and nearly got a lvl 60 wizard and the game is balanced enough to be a challenge, but not so hard that I want to give up.

I'm beginning to wind down my playing of D3 now - I've already got my monies worth and then some, but the game is starting to feel quite small now. It's still a challenge, which can always be overcome eventually, but it's something I just dip into now and again now.

Re: Diablo 3 - It's here! (Unboxing pics)

I started getting really bored in Hell mode, as a solo wizard you have to sacrifice a lot of damage for survivability, and even then with all those chains/molten/fast monsters, you get gimped so fast. I finally got to level 60 and inferno after 46 hours. I sped run act 4 on my wizard with Archon though in hell mode and beat Diablo first try without even the right skill setup as I just finished using Archon form and didn't want to wait 2 min to change the skill. "Diablo too easy"

Tbh, the Diablo bosses are quite easy, I struggle with the rare monsters much more than bosses. Having a 20 second revive cd and repairing gear for 10k a pop was not fun.

You could say that I could have partied, but my friends are too high level, and it makes the game a bit too easy IMO. I'd rather have a slight challenge (well, dying over and over as I mentioned to rare monsters wasn't fun at all though..).

Just kitted up cheaply for Inferno but I'm going to take a break for now and wait till I build my "replacement PC", then I won't need to play at 15-20fps anymore!

Just for those interested in a half decent solo build for Wizard Hell mode, mine's:

LMB: Electrocute with Lightning Blast Rune
RMB: Disintegrate with Intensify Rune -> Ray of Frost with Snow Blast rune for 1v1 bosses
Q: Diamond Skin with Crystal Shell Rune
W: Archon with Arcane Destruction Rune -> Blizzard with Grasping Chill rune for 1v1 bosses
E: Energy Armor with Force Armor Rune
    R: Teleport with Fracture Rune
Glass Cannon, Astral Presence, Temporal Flux -> Cold Blooded for 1v1 bosses

    And just some images:

    I'm the yellow power ranger!

Love the sword on my enchantress

    Archon!

And yes, I do run wizard + enchantress. After running with Templar through Normal and Nightmare, I realised he was useless. Pushback, Disorientate + Hex is the best CC ever.

After 90 odd hours, I completed inferno mode with a mate. I turned into a tank wizard as my friend was a DH so he did the DPS

So...I see my guest passes in my retail box and I think...hey, might be good to play with a friend to show them the game etc.

Only to find the geniuses, geniuses behind making this comfortably the biggest fail in blizzard history have struck again by refusing to allow starter/guest passes the ability to play with retail.

    FFS.

Dear blizzard of old, please come back, all is forgiven

Re: Diablo 3 - It's here! (Unboxing pics)

Just completed Hell mode on my monk. Took me 18h20 mins to get to the end of Hell Mode. I'm only level 58 though

Started off Act 4 Hell on lvl 58 0% and after killing Diablo, I'm only on 60% and still level 58! Not gonna be a fun grind.

EDIT: Took another hour to grind to 60. 19h20 to reach Inferno is not bad at all!

EDIT2: Started Act 1 Inferno at 19h52, finished at 21h11. Finished Act 2 Inferno at 23h22. Dying ALOT in act 3 to even normal mobs... Guess I gotta gear up.

Meeting Vortex + Fire Chains + Frozen + Arcane Enchanted for my melee monk was not fun at all. Spent almost 6m on my monk now.

Welcome to the end game mate, farming gold to buy items off the AH/using the RMAH.

It's stupid that I 'progress' faster by doing NM gold runs than I do farming inferno because the items are soooooo poor.

I loved my first play through (Monk), after which I started a WD and a nightmare run with the Monk, but have sort of fizzled out on both of them.

I'm thinking about trying either the Wizard or Demon Hunter, as they both look quite good.

I think the problem is it's all a bit tedious until you've got loads of powers to choose from and it takes hours (literally) just get to like lvl. 20 which is where you really start to feel like a powerhouse.

Re: Diablo 3 - It's here! (Unboxing pics)

The AH is really starting to zap the enjoyment out of the game now for me. I am in Inferno and in Act1(which I am completed),the drops are not that great and from what I can manage of Act2,it is little better.I ended up having to use the AH to get half decent gear and to make some extra gold to cover the repair and health potion costs and have to do farming runs(meh).

Moreover, the AH layout is utterly useless - not only can you not search properly for some attributes, but there is no way of finding what prices items sell for(unlike Ebay). Hence selling in the AH is like speculating(more meh) and yet to get decent gear you need enough gold too. I find it very hard to get a value for items even after searching on the AH as you can't say which prices are realistic!!

I had one good legendary item and I think I might have undersold it somewhat!!
