Not IMO , you can see the grass defined by the shadow in that cow pic, you see no sense of texture at all in d3 .

In fact if it weren't for the slight colours youd almost swear it was all ice or some elaborate marble floor , its so shiny you could slide a Coos arse down it.

Never played Diablo and Warcraft is not my cup of tea. I am only trying out D3 to see if the hype is worth it. I have Titan Quest and got bored of it within one hour.

Maybe,I need to have a go on SC2 too and try the starter edition.

You should compare the old and new versions to see what you think , I think you'd like MUMU land.

To my knowledge there are no ladies with bunny ears in Diablo 3.

Any impressions from other people? I'm kind of conflicted:

On the positive side:
-It's definitely diablo!
-Fantastic atmosphere - dark, moody
-Graphics better than expected in some ways - animations are great, the environment is great with nice foliage that reacts to the player etc. It's much more 3d and less flat than previous diablos.
-Great sound
-More lore than ever
-Slick gameplay, they have the legendary Blizzard polish feel again

On the negative:
-Bloody awful online connection demand. I mean really, waiting to play a single player game is just not acceptable.
-Slight disconnected feel - possibly consequence of the online stuff, it's not as snappy/responsive as previous Diablos - there's slight hesitations to aiming/firing stuff etc.
-Some graphics are a little poor - needs more polys especially for the human characters.
-The auto-optimised character leveling kind of changes the feel a bit. The choices now lie in different areas, something I've not quite got used to yet. I will probably turn on the more manual character skill selection option after a bit.

My achievements are gubbed, I can't add friends and frankly I'm not 100% convinced my charcter will even be there when I get home.

But I'm loving it.


I wish the skills were more transparent and how they scale to weapons and ditto for minion scaling etc.


Seriously though it's fantastic; but I am a die hard, diablo to the bone freak...sooooooo

I was lucky enough to get logged in around 5 last night with my brother. Just after that the login servers went nuts. During that time our game was super slick. 30 ms ping and flawless gameplay.

When they fixed the servers my ping went to 200-400 and the stuttering started.......

Connection was fine for me last night - once i'd got past about 5 different installation issues.

My biggest gripe is seemingly not being able to switch the function of RMB/LMB around. After playing so much LoL, not being able to use RMB to move feels awkward.

Theres an option in the menu you to do that. Options / Gameplay / Elective Mode.

Then right click skill bar.

You can bind move? I know you can bind any skills to RMB. I've not played with elective yet though.
