All you need is Arma 2 Combined Operations, which you probably already have if you're playing Dayz.

As an optional purchase, if you want the nice skins for some of the vehicles then you need to purchase the Czech Republic pack £7.90

Re: Day Z (ARMA 2 Zombie Mod)

The levels of hacking and hackers within this game have become too great, we were running a server and were getting hit on an hourly basis some nights. It's a shame because it has turned a lot of people away from the game and ruined the atmosphere for now as someone getting shot now instantly claims you are hacking etc.

I'm waiting for the standalone now before I start playing again.

That's one of the reasons why i've started playing the Wasteland mod.

There are loads of private hive servers around that usually have more admins on them and less hackers. It also means that people can't server hop and flank you.

I would say no currently. I mean it definitely definitely was when it came out and I did buy it purely to play dayz but currently there are too many hackers around and it ruins the fun of large servers. When it first came out it was incredible everyone was in the same boat with not knowing how or why or what. It's the only game I've played that's made me feel bad for shooting another player and also the only game where I've started shaking in anticipation and fear when I've seen another player.

I'd personally wait for the standalone at the moment and hopefully you will have a great experience with it.

The standalone would make more sense if you haven't got it already, but there is no real ETA on it. They said apparently by the end of the year is the target. I purchased it to play it now, as I like all things Zombies and it's a lot of fun, even with the hackers and bugs, slow server load times and things. I still think it was worth the money for the amount of entertainment I've had out of it over the past 6 or 7 weeks.

Re: Day Z (ARMA 2 Zombie Mod)

I was the same - bought ARMA 2 CO just to play this. The clan I was in paid for a server but the duping/hacking was getting so bad that it has ruined it for me. We got so sick of it we thought 'if you can't beat them, join them' and did the same, duped stuff, so now everyone on the damn server is running around with high end kit. It was fun to have all the kit at first but I very quickly got bored as it ruined the whole point of the game.
Now haven't played it in almost a month. Will definitely get the standalone when its released though.

Got another couple of vids from Namalsk. Heard some really good things about this map, so a few of us decided to jump in to see what all the hype is about!
