Get that heaven tessellation demo thing running then you can sip champagne and nibble party snacks in your smoking jacket while it runs. Should you be feeling charitable throw some canapés on the floor for your console playing chums to fight over.

I treat the console playing fraternity with contempt and use my man servant to chase them from the grounds.

Re: Spec me a game to show off new graphics card.

Deus Ex Human Revolution with the DX11 and Tesselation enabled, fiver on Steam this weekend.

BF3 is a market leader when it comes to visuals on the PC.

RAGE is decent on the PC with all the DX11 stuff enabled and 1080p resolution.

Stalker : Call of Pripyat and get the CoP Complete mod for it

AvP 2010 once again with DX11 and Tesselation in 1080p res

Loads of show pieces available on the PC. You could even get 3DMark2011 and show that off as it has a demo mode.

    Looked good on my 9800GT.

There's a free demo of Arkham City available on Steam an I'll just add a +1 for Heaven. It's a very popular and widely used benchmark.

Again like others have mentioned - BF3, Crysis 1 or 2 with texture pack, The Witcher 2 with Ubersampling turned on.... there are loads of others that will also show off your new card

Re: Spec me a game to show off new graphics card.

I don't know how showy ARMA 2 is but it takes a damn fine computer to run it smoothly on full on max settings. But I think that the best show off, visually appealing games are probably the Witcher 2 and BF3. Also, try running Shogun 2 with a whole bunch of HUGE armies

I got a GTX 670 recently too, and Metro 2033 showed it off really well.
    Civ V benchmark test anyone?

Re: Spec me a game to show off new graphics card.

Metro 2033 is a really good test for even modern graphics cards, as well as classic testing games such as Crysis 1 - I hear RAGE is a good game to test a graphics card against as well...

Get skyrim with the highest res versions of: HD 2K textures, vurts flora overhaul, trees hd, lush trees, W.A.T.E.R etc....

    That'll look absolutely amazing!

    maybe a realistic ENB to...

    all of the above and
i still think mirrors edge is one of the best looking games out there
especially with the physx smoke and materials etc
i know its not technically cutting edge but it looks fantastic
crank up your anistropic and anti aliasing and turn on v sync
