Well I didn't know that, another C&C game ruined in my opinion, makes me laugh when he says he wants to take it back to what made C&C great, errr, yeah that was a single player compaign and a good storyline.

Was looking forward to Generals 2 as well :/

The original Red Alert is still hands down the best - perfect balance, simple yet complicated..it's one of the best RTS games ever created, alongside the original Starcraft

It's a bit old now though, and many people are put off by the graphics (it was originally a Dos game..), so Red Alert 2 is also worth a shot, it's not quite as good as it tries to over complicate things and the balance suffers a little (Zepplins rule all!) but still great fun and much more modern (2004 I think).

Generals 1 was pretty good too although a bit of a diversion from the series in terms of the two main story lines (C&C being about Kane, RA being about "what if WW2 never happened", and Generals being completely separate).

You can pick up all the best games from here for £10 for the lot:

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Command-Conq...9&sr=8-1-spell

In that pack you get pretty much everything apart from Red Alert 3 + C&C 3, both of which are worth picking up if you enjoy the series but are by no means the best. You can throw away the Renegade disk too, it's simply awful (an attempt to make an FPS in the C&C universe..it failed, epically).

    Command & Conquer Gold
Command & Conquer Covert Operations (EP)
    Command & Conquer Red Alert
Command & Conquer Red Alert Aftermath (EP)
Command & Conquer Red Alert Counterstrike (EP)
    Command & Conquer Tiberian Sun
Command & Conquer Tiberian Sun Firestorm (EP)
    Command & Conquer Renegade
Command & Conquer Red Alert 2
Command & Conquer Red Alert 2 Yuri's Revenge (EP)
    Command & Conquer Generals
Command & Conquer Generals Zero Hour (EP)

I believe c&c gold, RA1 and TS were made free. And I'll also mention that they're going to be releasing all of the games in 1 set soon http://store.origin.com/store/eaemea...ctID.255335500. There's been a couple of sales on steam where the games were under a fiver. There might be one for Halloween *shrug*. Ra2 was my fav. I'll still be keeping an eye on the free2play c&c, there's always a chance they could do it right, for multiplayer at least. They apparently feel like pay2win would ruin it, we'll see how that actually goes... Tiberium Alliances didn't go that well on balance.
