The most ever?

Easily Heroes of Might and Magic 3, just solid playing for years... Still love it to bits...

The last really good one in the series, arguably the best. Many late nights playing hot seat with mates way back when. HoMM4 sucked with the heroes on the field. HoMM5 was okay a few years on after the major bugs were addressed. HoMM6 has it's appeal but nothing compared to 2 and 3. I've played them all started from King's Bounty .

According to steam i've played 89 hours of civ 5 none of which was online. before that i probably pkayed many more hours of civ 4 but have no way of telling the numbers. If i broaden it to gameboy games i've got a stupid amount of hours clocked on pokemon blue

Command & Conquer RA2 - finished that one twice in both campaigns

Quake III (single player - passes the time in country bumpkin land with no internet)
and yes FAR CRY - finished that one 3 times now. (now how do you like those apples?)

Not Crysis. Finished that on Delta in less than a week. Is it shorter than Far Cry, or does the ability to save at will rather than at predefined checkpoints lead to a shorter timeframe to completion? Half life had quick save to be fair, and that sure took forever.

you know everytime i upgrade i install crysis and even after all this time there are so many levels i cant keep above 30fps

Elite on bbc micro
target renegade on zx spectrum (the c64 version might of looked better but the game was rubbish compared to the spectrum version)
Mines of Moria or Angband (both rougelike games) used to play moria, then switched to angband, for hours on our old 486, even had to make up special boot disk just for angband even though I had far better looking games none where the time sink that was angband

However back then I had far fewer games and I'm sure games came out less frequently.

Next came SNES rpg's Final fantasy 6 and chrono trigger

Back to PC, original half life, original red faction, freespace1 and 2, original diablo (I did play 2 a bit but it was the multiplayer that made it most played so I'm discounting that)

More recent still, I've put quite a few hours into saints row2 and saints row3, minecraft (still playing it single player, due to mods) fallout3

I put in over 120 hours on Oblivion on ps3 before the hard drive failed on me. Tried again, and put in around another 100 hours before I got bored.
On to Skyrim, again I think about 120 hours up to now, have not played it since around January when I again became bored with that game.
My trouble is I can never follow the main quest as I feel I am missing so much, so I end up trying to do everything and the end up getting bored before the finish.
I think this discussion has brought skyrim back to my attention, so I might just get it back out and hopefully complete it.

on PC the game I played the most offline is probably Fallout 3, or back in the day heroes of might and magic 3.
