To err is human. To really foul things up ... you need a computer.
Yep sure do, 2.01 contains all the new spitfires etc, you need that first before you get the 2.04 patch...

Planes....in order....to fly...in my opinion, which as you know is not very humble
Lagg3 1941.....the first one. Heaven......easy to fly, easy to catch in a spin/stall, and a good turner....
Il-2...any of the first series....once again, easy to fly, but slower....harder to steer on the ground..the rudder is very delayed...you have to predict your joystick twisting.
La 5 FN.....monster plane...monster.
Hurricane Mk2 C.....4 20mm canons, lots of good visibility, slow but stable. Quite easy to stall if your yank your stick, and very sensitive at slow speeds, but a god heavy old girl.
and then.....for a challenge....I-153 .....bi plane heaven, undercarriage does come up. Just watch it lift a wing on take offand fly her along the runway...and then pull back.....WOOSH ...now THAT is lift...
turns like nothing else...ever.

Yep fly the early stuff first otherwise you'll get in a spit mark 9 and you'll be disappointed with the early stuffs performance, turn rate and firepower

yes mate - it's in amongst the Axis aircraft, as it's the Swedish variant... look for the J8A in the flyable list... it is an absolute JOY to fly - don't bunt it over the top, the engine will stop, it's slow, but will get up to 3000m fairly handy and will out turn ANYTHING... I very very nearly got Hat in one of those.. he was flyin a MK IX Spit... then i did a silly and fell over...![]()

Where the hell is this 2.04 patch anyway? it isn't on the Ubisoft IL2 Site![]()
It isn't under the download section, it is on the homepage, near the bottom.
