    speed landing challange

ok been spurred back into playing il2 a bit and feel like laying down a challenge

the challenge is to see who can land the quickest in a quick mission with the smolensk map with target set as airbase at height of 1000 and with the spitfire mk L.F vb (CW) landing on the runway staying on the runway at all times during landing and not damaging it in the process of landing nor using external views
(make sure you hit record as soon as u can)

here's my time of 1.47 and the track HERE

not sure if i chose a hard enough to land aircraft tho?

Good wheeze. I'll have a go (or ten) later. Then as Skii says we can up the difficulty with some other planes. Cant wait to see who can get a TB3 down quickest!

Bah, that's easy, the hardest bit is getting it up to 1000 in the first place

Yamangman, you need to do the same scenario as the rest of us, you are going to a different airfield (i.e not the same distance as the rest of us it seems)

    Nice game of chicken tho...

I'll have another look, but the airfield that i get to takes 1min30 to get to the field let alone land it, plus there are no trucks on the field that i land on. You must be either appearing somewhere else on the map or you've been playing quick missions and are landing elsewhere.... (make sure its not got anything other than slomensk in scenario setup and try it again?.)

Nope, I am in exactly the same place and it's exactly the same airfield. That car is there cos I get there sooner.

    edit

Ah! 25% fuel. I guess that must be it. I'll try again on 100%, I guess that what you guys are using, opse

I was assuming you land on the concrete, which is the friendly airfield in the scenario da ging suggested (smolensk, allies, attack airfield, 1000ft). But then I don't have winrar so haven't seen da ging's track.
