That's cool. I'm not experienced in running a server so if you think it'll work better! I think it's just cool you're running a hc server anyway I haven't had the chance to play much but I will try and get on there this afternoon for a bit and as much as pos this week! It seemed to be doing alright last time I played on it though...

Hmm server has emptied again. Told you Hardcore was hard to fill!

    Looking back in the logs over the last few days. The two main reasons for people leaving seem to be;
Teamkillers - Annoyingly people don't seem to use the !punish command and instead just leave. I've set the auto kick for a lower value but I'm not sure that will help if the victims of teamkillers leave so easily.
Metro Rush - Now this is truly baffling. On normal mode this is probably the most popular map. On Hardcore it doesn't seem popular. Is it that much harder to attack/defend on Hardcore without spotting and the radar etc, that its no fun to play?

Wow yeh I didn't realize it would make much difference. Personally I hate the !punish command. It doesn't do anything to help the team and people just abuse it. Accidental tk's happen on hc and that's fine. I normally do 1 or 2 accidental team kills a game and I can accept people legitimately kill me by accident sometimes. It's part of the fun of hc mode for me. You got to try be more careful and it makes the fights more fun. Some people are such babies though and just rage at you if you accidently kill them, not believing that there is any possible way it could be an accident. Those people really shouldn't even be playing on hc servers! Of course there are those that are blatantly just team killing for fun over and over and they're never hard to spot - they should be kicked. As for Metro on rush, I don't think it's any harder on hc than any other map really. I only play on hc mode though and people who play on hc servers tend to only play on hc servers I think. You either like running around with a big red triangle on your head so the whole team can see you even though only one guy actually spotted you, or you don't lol. Maybe some of your regulars are just trying out the hc server, or not realizing it's hc until they're in and then quiting soon after... I have to say I'm really surprised it's not more popular :/

Re: Anyone know how to hide servers you don't like on Battlelog (BF3)?

Short of starting as Normal and switch to Hardcore. I'm not sure what we can do. Really don't like the idea of switching as it was obvious when I did it the first day lots of people weren't impressed at the sneaky change over.
I don't know.. 5 days gone now and I'm out of ideas.
To late to do anything now. If nothing changes by the time I get home tomorrow I think we'll have to admit defeat. Unless you have any genius ideas hidden at the back of your mind??

Made some on-the-fly changes to the server and kicked a teamkiller and hacker and the server seems to be filling now. Just about to leave for home so fingers crossed it fills right up and you can do a proper test this evening.

Re: Anyone know how to hide servers you don't like on Battlelog (BF3)?

It seems the HC server is reluctant to come up in BL search results.

I had to clear nearly all my filters to get it to show up and that's while deliberately looking for it. It disappears if I set any of the game size filters, including 64 player.

FYI. I like HC Rush a lot and mainly play here
    http://battlelog.battlefield.com/bf3...stic-HARDCORE/
It's active mainly in the early evenings and soon fills up when at least a couple of us make the effort to join it.

FYI. My ideal Rush rotation would be
Canals, Kharg, Karkand, Sein, Bazaar. In whatever order you like.
With, no more than 32 players and with long pauses between vehicle respawns.

I tend to think Conquest works best on the big maps with lots of players and Rush works best on the smaller maps with fewer players. Not expecting everyone to agree with me though.

Metro in HC can be a PITA as the entrance to the tunnels is such a choke point.

I'll try and make a point of trying out the Scan server, now I can find it.

Re: Anyone know how to hide servers you don't like on Battlelog (BF3)?

The Scan servers are all setup with Adaptive Slot Sizes and Dynamic Maplists that change depending on player count. So if you are using the filters I can see how they would be hard to find. This method does make the servers easier to fill.

Clearing all the filters and typing "Scan.co.uk" in the Filter by Server Name box is the way I recommend finding the server.

Re: Anyone know how to hide servers you don't like on Battlelog (BF3)?

Yeh having a dynamic size does make them harder to find in the server list. If the HC server isn't working out then that's sucks but I don't know a great deal about filling servers so I don't really have any other ideas. I'm sure I'm not the only one who appreciates you giving it a go though! So thanks

Edit: Just had a sesh on scan 6 HC for a bit and it was packed out for all the games I played

    ^^^ What he said.

Had a go yesterday afternoon and the server was pretty packed. Two rounds of Rush on Kharg and Damavand. Not my normal choice of game but I enjoyed it all the same.

The servers now on my favourites list and hopefully the other people in the =U|F= clan/community I joined will give a go too.

Re: Anyone know how to hide servers you don't like on Battlelog (BF3)?

We'll give it a few more days and see how it goes. The issue here is how its filled. The rate at which players join Hardcore is at least 50% slower then normal. Really reduces the chances of first filling, then keeping it full.

Need more people playing on it early in the day, everyday, to get it going.

Server was full for a few hours again yesterday. What we thinking? Keep it? Do we have anyone willing to admin the server and keep it busy?
