Ghost Recon Future Soldier - very low fps

Guys, I have a problem playing that game.

    I play at 2560x1440, have GTX580, 4GB RAM, i5 2500K at 4GHz and during gameplay I'm getting 18fps...
Settings are set on all high, tessellation on low, no AA, no vsync.
Is this game so power hungry or should I lower more settings?

Have you tried lowering the resolution as well as the other settings it self? Failing that it might be worth checking out the official game forums for any further tips and solutions. I remember Diablo 3 had a similar problem not long after one of their patch updates. Dropped the FPS down to the floor something stupid.

Right... so I updated game to latest 1.4 and now getting 40-55fps... but... random crashes didn't stop.
After few minutes of playing game drops down to task bar, I can still hear the sounds but cannot get game window back up
    What could cause that?

I assume you've tried to ALT+TAB the window back open? That's worked for me in the past on games that have done a similar thing. Failing that I've no other idea's sorry =(

Yep, tried that. Game pops out itself to desktop, then mouse cursor is busy all the time, but when tried to switch between applications, nothing happens.
I need to go to task manager and I can kill the process but only once at the time, then need to open task manager again...
last night played for a good 1 hour before it broke.

Well, I sold my gtx580 and bought gtx670, so will see if those issues still gonna happen with new card. Maybe it was sth related to that card?

That sounds like an expensive way to troubleshoot a problem!

not 300. I sold my GTX580 for £220 and bought used few months old EVGA GTX670 for £250, so spent £30 and got 20-30% performance raise and around 100W less power usage, so I would call it a very good deal.

Haven't played Future soldier yet, will do tonight and get back to you guys.
I played Crysis 2 for some time and that was amazing

Yeah, it was a pretty good deal. It is hard to get that much for GTX580.
Then there are some people who wants to sell their 670s, which go for around £250-270 used so it was lucky.

Well, I played Future Solder for 2 hours and nothing happened. But this also was the case few times before with old card, so maybe I was lucky this time.
Will play more this week and see if it happens again...
