    f1 2012 Demo

So, anyone here got it? What do you think?

Correct me if i'm wrong, but have they not enable the full graphics for the demo? I thought it would be much better than that. I'm used to playing it on the xbox, but they don't seem that much different.

    Here's a vid i made.

I've been playing it quite a bit today and I have to say it's really enjoyable I can't compare it to other F1 games, but it certainly feels right and I will probably buy it when I get paid at the end of the month.

I've been playing with an Xbox controller but I have to say I am tempted to buy a steering wheel

I bought a pre copy from grainger games when they had it on special for £25. I know the graphics on the ps3 for 2011 was worse than the graphics for 2010 - but kers and drs made up for it.

I have not tried the 2012 demo though, I hear it is better - Glad your enjoying it

    Re: f1 2012 Demo

The demo seemed ok, the game itself has become a bit like Fifa though tbh.
There's probably in truth not that much different to 2010.
Dropping Games for windows is a plus though.
Handling seems to be a little better, although still is way too easy with all assits off. Graphics seem pretty similar, although they were always good. The game seems to run smooth for me with 23 other cars all in the frame aswell. Although there was a bug in the previous games where the frame rates would suffer past 5 or 6 laps as it stored the replay information. Would hope that's fixed. The AI in the previous game was too slow in the dry and way to quick in the wet. There seems to be a culture at codemasters of fixing the bugs in the next game rather than fixing issues with teh current one.
The UI for those on PC is still pretty appalling aswell.

Will i buy it, probably. Will i play it lots, probably not.

I may look into getting a Logitech G27.

    Re: f1 2012 Demo

I am too Darren, which is ridiculous because I as good as know I will play this one game for a month or two and that'd be that! But at the same time, I know I could do much better if I wasn't using an Xbox controller and I know it'd be a lot more fun.

That all said, I'm not sure if my enjoyment of it is inflated some what by the fact I can only play one track and 5 laps of it. That is, it gives me a very specific aim and I try my best to be good at this one track. But if I have the full game and all of the tracks, maybe I won't be so fussed?

I did the same with the Microprose Grand Prix demo years ago and really enjoyed the Monaco track. However when I finally got the full game I wasn't bothered really.
