I pre-ordered the CE of Mists of Pandaria way back in July from Amazon.com, who of course advertised their "get it for release" promise etc, and I paid the extra postage to guarantee it.
Today however I get this email:
"Please note that this product will be dispatched to arrive on release date as stated on our site. Amazon is prevented by the publisher from dispatching this product to arrive earlier than release date.
"
This implies that it won't actually be here for release, but it will be on the release DAY - which is very different in the case of an mmorpg.
The annoyance is that I have booked time off work to play MoP (yes I know how sad this is!), planning to join in the midnight launch/server crashing scramble and play through the night..but sounds like this might not happen.
Anyone got experience of Amazon and their MMO pre ordering? I am tempted to cancel this order and just go for the digital edition which I can pre-load now and be guaranteed to have for tuesday...in my own personal experience they have always delivered the other WoW expansions a day before the servers went live, but I have never had one of these emails from them before, hence the concern!
