    Borderlands 2 stuttering on mouse.

    http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...3DC14C12C3.mp4

That's a video showing what I mean. When I use the mouse the game stutters like mad. Using an controller the game works fine. Also if I hold down mouse 1 or mouse 2 the mouse no longer stutters. Any ideas?

ok from that video I see that you have a Tin can and what looks like a set of keys sitting very close to your mouse.

You have not given much info in your post so I don't know if it has been doing it for a while, if it just started, if other games are effected and so on so i'll just take a stab in the dark.

I can't tell from the video but if your mouse is wireless then there is a possibility that those things are disrupting the signal to the receiver which will cause the stutter.

I had the same thing I thought my mouse was going wonky until I realized the the foil wrappers from the candies I was eating were sitting between the mouse and the receiver. As soon as I moved them it went back to normal.

Nope, I wish it was as simple as that! I removed everything from the area and also changed USB ports on the receiver. Like I said in above post if I hold down Mouse button 1 or 2 it does not do it. Its the weirdest thing I have ever seen. I ran FRAPS and when the stutter happens from FPS drop right down to 0.

That is a really strange thing, like some sort of input lag, it could be a conflict.

What happens if you disconnect the 360 pad? I'm thinking it could be a conflict where the game or the wireless is trying to get inputs from both and is getting tied into knots.

I have tried disconnecting various USB devices. Still happens. Think I will redownload the game off steam.

It's not the USB but the wireless signals that I was thinking of.
if the xbox controller is working on the same frequency as the wireless mouse then the game could well be getting confusing signals as to which controller you're using.
Just because the controller is not conntected doesn't mean it's not broadcasting a signal, you need to fully turn off the controller as well as unpluging the usb receiver.

It could still be the game of course, just getting it self in knots not knowing which imput it's supposed to be taking movement from.

Re: Borderlands 2 stuttering on mouse.

I have a wireless Microsoft laser mouse and keyboard on one adapter and I'm not getting any issues.

Have you turned off mouse smoothing and assisted aiming in the options once ingame (its under keyboard/mouse)?

I don't have one to try it with.

I would also like to mention that this is the only game it happens with. Its confusing to say the least. But if anyone else has anything for me to try please suggest it. I hate playing FPS with controllers.
