I might have to play it tonight and decide whether or not I need to or want to spend an £20 when it's half price tomorrow. But thanks for clearing that up for me.

The EA 50% OFF offer is now live (until midnight today), but it is basically pants, unless all you want is the main game, one or two of the DLCs or just want to unlock some weapons/vehicles.

Link to the EA Christmas calendar.

Guys I havent played any games in a while so forgive if Im oblivious to to the game itsself! Is BF3 setup were a single player can just play it offline without going online to Stream and other gaming sites? I just enjoy playing against the game instead of online competition!?

yes you can play the single player campaign whilst not connected to the internet, however you'll need the internet the first time you install it, along with installing origin, which is EA's alternative to steam

I think you should buy it, especially if it's on PC and you've got a decent PC to run it. The DLC's been great so far, with the exception of CQ, and the new aftermath DLC is really good also.

^ i've only got B2K & AK and whilst i enjoy both, they're not polished to a reasonable standard and even main bf3 is still iffy with the maps. try driving a vehicle in a B2K map and see how many times you get stuck on an invisible wall and the same goes for rocks in AK. unfortunately EA seem to be making dice churn out the dlc's without any regard for polish. bf2 is still going fairly strong but unless they fix these silly sorts of bugs i don't think bf3 will be held in high regard like bf2 is nor have the longevity

Origin will have another "up to" 30/50% off sale on the 24/25th, may be they will have it for a decent price this time around.

The GamesPlanet offer (£23.99 for the full Premium download) was the best one I have seen to date.

I've played A LOT of COD in the past, really considering picking this up? Thoughts?

The maps are massive compared to COD eith proper vehicles etc, it might take some time to adjust to BF3. But the graphics are superior and if you haven't already experienced the noise of a calapsing building when you are are still inside, knowing you have seconds to find an exit or your toast... is awesome.

BF3 plus Premium is the best game I own by far, close quarters with destructable environments is a treat for the eyes.

Honestly I haven't played much of this game just because getting into a game is so awkward but it can be pretty fun. I personally enjoy Call of Duty more.

Yeah, you're right. B2K & Aftermath is pretty good, and Aftermath is as good as you can expect the DLC to get. AK was for the vehicle battles, although that's based on opinion and is rather a bit hit or miss. Aftermath reviews on YouTube are really great, check them out if you have time, it's the best DLC so far.
