Dishonored saved games issues

Today I loaded up Dishonored and went to my last save point, but when it loaded it was not where I was last! I looked in my load games and a number of the saves had todays date on, but I had not played Dishonored today other than just now. Looking at the steam forum there seems to be some bug, but I can't figure out that is. I don't have the steam cloud option on, but is that something I should turn on? This has never happened with any other game on steam.

Have seen this emtnioned on a few places too - i've heard of Steam's sync system causes it with other games too. Probably best to sideways copy the .sav files every now and again, maybe a script job everynight or something. From whjat I know, if its gone its gone unless you have some backup software / windows restore running.

Strangly I foudn my last save which had been moved down the saved list, and one person said to to 3 saves. But I will copy the .sav files just in case.

I had this problem - So I ensured that whenever I saved I did it properly as well as quick saving! Seems fine now.
