Hybrid Physx on Windows 8

Anyone tried this yet?

Was thinking of trying to put in an old GTX260 to go with my 7950 for Physx duties. I know ppl have successfully achieved this under Win 7. Still not sure it's worth it (power, heat, stability issues etc) but it'd be nice for Borderlands 2 if & when I get it.

I am running BL2 on a Core i3 2100 and a HD5850 1GB. I decided to see if running PhysX on the CPU on high would be OK. Funnily enough pottering around areas it is fine,looking at the framerates displayed on my G15. Only in battles with loads of enemies do the framerates tumble,so this is where a GPU would help or maybe a faster CPU IMHO.

Cool Mr Moose Had thought that Cpu Phsyx was a performance hog so never even tried turning it on in supported games. BL2 appears to have a few probs with hybrid physx anyhoo according to a quick google...

ATM I only have Batman:AA and Mirror's Edge to test with so not sure I can b arsed lol
