Batman Arkham City GOTY Edition is £4.99. :D
Just kotor 2 and arkham city for me -Should keep me going till the Christmas sale :P
Picked up Torchlight 2, Orcs Must Die 2, Max Payne 3, and Dishonored (at Green Man)
I'll never have time for all that! Although started Dishonored and really enjoying it!
These sales have been really bad for me. I own most of the games already and all the ones I don't are still priced too high.
Dishonoured any good?
£15 now
It scores 91% on metacritic and was only recently released, I think it was about a week or two after Borderlands 2 plus it has been nomiated for a Game of the Year award, so I think it is worth it for half price.
its a great game go for it
The Witcher 2 enhanced edition 75% off (@£4.99) is tempting me, but would it worth getting and playing the first Witcher directors cut 75% (@£1.74) off first?
Get them both. Play through the tutorial/prologue of The Witcher, then go to the second game.
Old school RPG fans prefer the first game, but the second one has more universal appeal. The mechanics and gameplay changes quite significantly between the two, so there's no need to have played the first, though the prologue will give you quite a good introduction to back story, which is continued in the second game.
Not sure if it's still valid, but you could get Dishonoured for just under £12 I believe from GMG with their 25% off code.
I've not played it, but lots of my friends have and they say it's fantastic.
Picked up Arkham City for my brother am tempted to get MoH:Airborne.
Annoyed I missed KOTOR I & II at 75% off, still might buy them at 50%.
CoH was another I couldn't make my mind up, I'll wait till the next sale now.
You may have already got it (only three hours left on sale), but I'd definitely say yes - and play it at least twice. First playthrough: the low chaos, read-every-book, cradle every guard to sleep way. Second, the 'high chaos' kill everything in inventive ways and move noisily way. The last level ends up different and you get different reactions / enemies depending on how you play (not to oversell it too much - it's still a bit naff like all alignment systems).
Playing the first way took me about 20 hours. The second way took something like 7 hours.
I'm being a bit of an arse, but I'm going to wait for the price to drop a bit more.
It will take you a fair bit of time to complete the first game properly, but equally £6.74 for the pair is a bargain.
Definitely don't play the second game without having experienced the first... if you hate it, then fair enough, skip to the second. But it's an excellent game.
I actually hated it the first two times I started it, but on the third I really enjoyed it.
I got Borderlands GOTY for £4.99 - would have got more, but I have run out of cash, need it for Xmas presents!
when does the winter sale start?
I love the big steam sales, I think the winter one will start on or around 20th Dec.
