    Steam Autumn Sale

The Steam Autum sale has begun with discounts on selected games each day, up to 75% off, it runs until November 26th.

Remember the rule of any Steam Sale is to never buy a game unless it is a daily deal, some games may be discounted 50% on one day then the following day they may be a daily deal at 75% off.

Some non-dailies are at 75% off anyway, and are unlikely to go lower - e.g. Serious Sam 3

    Re: Steam Autumn Sale

I expect sod all from the sales these days. AoE3 is a perfect example - I'm interested in purchasing it, despite recalling it being rubbish, as I enjoyed 1+2 and barely played the third.

But even with 75% off, they want £7.50? It's so old now, anything more than about £3.50 and I'm not interested.

And most of the games that are genuinely discounted, I've already bought in a previous sale. Meh.

The Witcher 2 looks like the only decent prospect, currently 60% off. If it goes on a daily I'll take the plunge.

    Re: Steam Autumn Sale

I would like AOE3, I enjoyed playing the first game even though I never finished it but at £7.50 it's a lot to add to my backlog of games.

Would like Skyrim, but it still costs too much. The Map packs for Modern Warcrap 2 and Black Ops are only at 25% off so otherwords are still a right rip-off. God I hate actigayvision.

I would like to see some of the DLC's for Total War at a nice price, still missing a few and maybe puchase the DLC's for Borderlands 2.

Oh well, sure there be something!

If anything, I still have too many games in my backlog to complete!

    Re: Steam Autumn Sale

I have spent £6.50 and thats it, got KOTOR 2, Tachyon & Beyond Divinity. Those 3 have been on my wishlist for a good while so perfect timing when they are that cheap.

Next game I actually want is Farcry 3 which I'm getting for Christmas.

I knew there would be a point with all these Steam sales where I didn't want anything, bought so much stuff in the past and got loads of stuff from various Indie Bundles. Now when I look at the sale items I have the stuff that I wanted from previous sales, wishlist is now mainly new releases, so its a case of sit back & wait until sales next year when the current new stuff becomes cheap as chips!

Just picked up RAGE as it was only £3.24 and although its got some mixed reviews I took a chance on it for the price of a pint.

I can't say I liked it much, but can't really go wrong at 34p.

If a game is <75% off then wait until the last day, it may be a daily or flash deal.

Dues Ex for 3.74 looks like a bit of a bargain. Think I might have to go for that.

Be sure to pick up the missing link download with Deus Ex. Tempted by Borderlands 2 or wait for a game of the year edition with all the downloads.

    Re: Steam Autumn Sale

I bought AOE3 and two DLC's for Magicka that I was missing.

I was close to buying a DLC for FailOps but decided against it.
