    Football Manager 2013

    Hey guys,

Gonna start a thread on this as there doesn't appear to be one.

Not sure how popular this game is in this forum, but i play a network clan game with some mates. Now they've fixed a lot of the major bugs, the game is great!

Here's a vid of how my single player game is going.

    Re: Football Manager 2013

I've been having a cracking so far on the game - gone from Indonesia, to Ireland, back to Indonesia, then onto Bulgaria, and now back in England again. I really do think it's a fantastic series, but people manage to complain a hell of a lot about it sometimes!

So is this defnitely work getting? The new Old School back to basics Time Saving mode appeals to me because i barely have any time to sink my teeth into the PS3 let alone allowing FM to consume my life.

I've just been put off by the consumer reviews, so i've been waiting on getting it for around £10.

    Re: Football Manager 2013

Well the first one was the Bugs, some people calling them Game-breaking. Which made me forget completely about the game, But as the OP said they have fixed that.

The only other slight niggle was people claiming that come match day all goes to poop, and that Tactics are ridiculous to master and that it's is ridiculously hard. Which sounds a bit daft, but i suppose you have to witness/experience it to believe it, which is why i am waiting til it is easier on the pocket.

The last thing i want in my free time is to be stressed out, haha.

    Re: Football Manager 2013

People say those things every time, year after year. It's always true to a point - i.e. the game always has some bugs in it at release. But eventually they get fixed, and despite what people say, I've never found one to be genuinely "game-breaking". Okay, a player might have an inexplicable reaction, but it's hardly every day's a nightmare.

As for the tactics, myself and quite a few others accept that we're useless, and by and large just use default ones created by the game - they work just fine. If you get involved in all the tactics tweaking and tips etc, I can agree that it becomes incredibly complex and at times hard to understand - but it's far from necessary to play the game. If you want to go through the creator, pick a 4-4-2 that plays quick, counter-attacking football with direct passing, you can do. And then you just pick the team.

If you want to start getting really fussy about individual instructions, then sure you can tweak the hell out of it - but the point is, you don't have to.

    Re: Football Manager 2013

played since release and haven't encountered any game breaking bugs thankfully. still love the series however it's getting stagnant, even though they keep advertising ridiculous amounts of new features every release. guess i've played to much FM over the past couple of years.

the one things i absolutely despise for fm2013 is training, what a waste - i don't even bother with it apart from putting a player into a training regime

    +1.

I've just retrained players who are not familiar with the position (eg AML to ML) and everything is going great so far.
