Freeware software program for recording video in games

Can anyone suggest a freeware software program for recording video & audio in games? FRAPS is obviously one option, but the free version limits the length of recording, and includes a watermark. I just wandered if there's a good, free alternative?

I use MSI Afterburner and you have to make sure you enable the OSD Server so you will have 2 icons beside your clock for it. You can record full 1080p video so it can get quite big. Reading about the net it works on most manufacturers cards regardless of Radeon or Geforce brand :

    http://event.msi.com/vga/afterburner/download.htm

Then I convert the file using ConverterLite which is free to re encode to something like MP4 which really shrinks the size :

The video I done for my TERA review here was done using Afterburner and converted to MP4. Quality was sharper with the original MP4 files I sent but it gives you an idea of capability.

Alternatively you could try using: Open Broadcaster Software (Yes that's what it's called, I can't link you as I don't have sufficient posts to do)

Its made for streaming games over twitch/justin etc, but its possible to record to hard drive using it.

Thanks Ferral and TTrSquared...I tried Afterburner first & worked a treat! Always great to find free software too!

VirtualDub is a video capture/processing utility and can trim and clean up video before exporting to tape or processing with another program.
    It is free.
