haha Shirty101 I was thinking the same thing. End of the day its down to personal preference, hand size and left/right handed... so everyone has their own choices they have found the best.
Apart from the customisation options I listed above I just love the Transformer like look of my MMO7:

Transformers eat your heart out!
if your a claw gripper m65 just came out a few months ago and its great.
high dpi
weight management
all round comfortable
I have the following
G9x Logitech
Corsair M65 White
Coolermaster Storm inferno
Coolermaster Sentinal
Razer Deathadder
and an old MX518 logitech
to two that I rate the best is the Logtitech G9x (software is the best and you cannot beat logitech for warranty)
and the coolermaster storm inferno.
But we all have different shaped hands and feel things differently.
G500
Every. Damn. Time.
I love mine too, but I suspect that for many the slight shape revision from the traditional MX518 might appear undesirable.
Yeah well that always happens :D

Been playing with this mouse for about a week and I have to say for the little money it costs, it is a well made and responsive mouse.
I honestly thought it would be to cheap to be any good. I am happy to say I was wrong.
If it hasn't already been said, I think the G400 is a very good mouse, basically a newer MX
I love my little Razer Orochi, nothing too fancy and the batteries for the 'optional' bluetooth provide a nice weight.
I'm still using my Intellimouse explorer 3.0 :p
Logitech G400 looks good value if buying now? TBH I feel no difference with super high DPI or polling rates it's all marketing jazz to me!
I have the logitech G500, very nice mouse for big hands, and has very simple side buttons, none of that 12 button shenanigans that one of the razer mouse has!
I would stay away from razer and cyborg mice they are very plasticy and feel cheap and a lot of people say they break easily.
If you want something that will feel nice and are well built I would get something like the m65 or g500 I personally went with the m65 and I love it the only issue I have is that the sniper button is slightly out of reach of my thumb but its not that helpfull in most games without you are really far away like when you sniping on red orchestra when you can only see a tiny bit of their head and every bit of movement needs to be tiny to perfect the shot.
