Hey guys,
Take a look at the arma3.com website. They just released news regarding the Alpha and pre orders!
Here's a Podcast that myself and "The Unit" did.

Wicked, can't wait.
Please, please, please, just sort out the bloody mod handling. I have ARMA1 and 2, but they both got to the point I couldn't be arsed to try and sort out all the problems with mods when moving between servers. Your almost limited to playing your regular server because its impossible to figure out which mod versions to instal and then you have to remove some that interfere. AhhhhhhhhhHh rant off. Will probably get this anyway.
Well 1 more day guys. What version of Alpha are you picking up?
I am seriously tempted by this... Have been teetering on the verge of purchasing ARMA II and all it's addons lately, coz I do love the look of it, and now this is coming out for just a few quid more, I may do it!
Are there clan systems for the game? Dedicated servers? How does it compare to BF3 (obviously, the realism is much higher, that is what interests me the most!)?
P.S. I don't know who the main narrator was in that video, but please let him know that Dulux is a manufacturer of paint!![]()
Arma in all its forms is great, once you settle once nice server. If your trying to find a good server its can be extremely frustrating due to the use of custom maps, custom mods, and custom addons. My experience is that its solely played on highly customised clan servers, where you need the correct mods an maps to play, but once this is sorted the customised aspect makes for great gameplay. Unlike BF3 etc you dont jump between servers, once you find a couple of good ones you tend to stay put. Tends to have some of the best teamplay out there, wandering off on your own is pretty pointless and unrewarding.
does it support a controller?
It might support it, but I wouldnt recommend it. Its not at all like any of the other 1st person combat games, you can spend 10+ minutes just getting to the destination. Access to aircraft can be locked down to stop noobs taking and crashing, there's also supplies to be sorted and vehicles to be fixed. Its definitely not an arcade game.
Great talk on ARMA 3, £20 for Alpha is amazingly good priceI am surprised on how low the recommended required specifications are!
yh i know but i cant play on keyboard on mouse at all i hate it theres too many keys
Here's some gameplay we did with "The Unit" yesterday.
