Have a parcel from Amazon sitting on my desk right now![]()
I used the free trial of Amazon Prime to get free one day delivery.
It was quite interesting, it's one of those sign up for a free trial, if you don't cancel it we'll charge you £40 a year.
But you can choose to opt out in advance, although this did come with a warning that it might make me ineligible for future free trials.
And of course you can just buy an electronic version and download the updated client.
I need to still finish SC2 first!!
TBF,even if you do forget to cancel the subscription it is no problem. I did the same a while back, and the next month I realised they had charged me. However,I had not used Amazon during that time, and the CS just refunded me the money that day.
Pre-loaded it Sunday....will be playing tonight hopefully.

Is there a Hexus chat channel?![]()
I've used that in the past. Now it's ended I'm sure I get my parcels much slower than before I used the trial*![]()
*which completely put me off using it - guaranteed seems to mean absolutely nothing and I'd frequently wait in for something that wasn't delivered on the right day.
They do offer further trials though. I have used the trial at least twice.
I've found it very good, they send you text messages allowing you to easily reschedule if needed and give you a very precise estimate of when they will arrive meaning that you don't have to wait in for more than an hour.
Mind you I normally get stuff delivered to work anyway.
I was going to make my own thread on this a few days ago, was very surprised not to see one
My collectors edition arrived yesterday..and I took 1/2 a day off work to play it.
It's good, very good! I spent about 6 hours on the campaign yesterday, which is very easy but also a lot of fun, more so than wings of liberty in my opinion as the missions are just so much more varied. Quite enjoying the story too - it's not exactly deep but there are enough twists/turns, and Kerrigan does look good in that tight fitting ghost suit...6 hours got me through 15 missions out of 26, and they of course get longer as time goes on - so I think there is easily 14-16 hours gameplay in the main campaign alone, and then there are still the challenge missions/master archives, and of course multiplayer.
Played a few qualifying matches in multiplayer too and got beaten to a pulp a few times - I'll need to play against some AIs tonight I think to learn how best to use the new units, they do change things somewhat - was not impressed when a 'toss mothership core appeared early game and decimated my siege tanks & mineral line
Any hexites fancy a game? In particular if any long term hexites want to expand their SC2 friends list let me know..I am a big fan of 3v3 matchups in the ladders but it would be cool to play with a real team rather than guaranteed randoms, if you know what I mean!
Once I get the game I might be up for it - I'm really rubbish at the starcraft play style though, I'm more Sup Com![]()
=-) If playing off the ladders you can put in "no rush" rules etc, which does allow you to play a more Macro focussed game (i.e. supcom style unit massing with a lot of bases).
Even with the 200 supply cap you can have a lot of fun this way, especially with zerg![]()
I bought direct from Blizard. Had a very quick blast yesterday, but I have poorly kids, so no games for b0redom for a bit.
Played for an hour....until achievements got disabled....then went and played some End Game instead.
It looks a bit more interesting than the first one.....which is going some!
