two of the unlock rewards of been well unlocked with one week left and the final unlock is a copy of xcom. Does anyone think it will be unlocked?(32% done)

With one week left, i would be surprised if it isn't.
However, you could wait it out until later in the week to see if the figures are more favourable?
I'm assuming there is a lot of people doing this then day before release day there is a surge.
pre ordering a game without knowing if it's any good? hmmmmm no thanks
Its up to 70% now with a week to go, so I think Its going to make it. Pity I've already got copies of both Bioshock and XCOM XD
x com is a relatively new game good game that's retailing £30 on steam. The bioshock games are quite good but i usually buy them on consoles due to the lack of controller support.
Ps its at 76% so i will most likely pick it up later
84% and rising
Live long and prosper.
86% im going for it
It's still been in sales in the past, the are clearly not going to put it on sale whilst they are trying to use it as a bargaining chip for another game! They know people will be looking and thinking 'that's worth £30' when actually, you can get it for half that on play.
Perhaps bargain bucket is exaggerating a touch for xcom (not for bioshock mind) but for most people, it's been out for long enough that if you don't already have it, you're probably not in much of a rush and can wait another few months till it does hit that magical under £10 price point and you don't spend 30 quid on a new game that might actually be a complete flop.
I loved 1 and 2 but that doesn't assure us of 3. I urge people NOT to go for this.

I agree with Biscuit up above, just for info though.....
Its has reached its limit and you will get XCOM as part of the preorder.
Both Bioshock and XCOM are giftable if you already own
Ugh,
Pre-orders are such nasty things from a consumer point of view. Why would you purchase a game in full even though it hasn't even been released? If the game is good fine you would have bought the game anyway, but if it is bad then you might not have brought the game otherwise, and there goes your pre-order money on a game that you probably will not play and cannot return.
Buying after release is the superior action in every scenario.
The bonuses are just a sleight of hand trick to prevent consumers from making what I think are logical actions.
However as Bioshock Infinite has shown the whole "pre-order" business is growing. From simply giving out a trivial gift to those who pre-order, to taking things out of the game and giving it to those who pre-order, the concept is shifting to a more "crowd-based" approach.
Ie: what you [the consumer] get for the pre-order bonuses is based upon how many pre-orders we [the publisher/ distributor] get, so we now want you to think that not only is it in your best interests to pre-order, but to convince others to pre-order so you can get moar pre-order bonuses.
TBH the industry is playing the consumer like a grand piano, and as long as people continue to vote with their wallets practices like restrictive DRM/ DLC/ Pre-Order bonuses will continue to blight our experience when buying and playing video games.

RPS Editorial: Let’s Not Pre-Order Games Any More, Eh?
But as pointed out in the first comment - kickstarter. (Which RPS do support a lot of).
I've kickstarted three games - all of which are minority market PC RPGs which do not interest publishers but I'm happy to put my money where my mouth is and fund the development of them.
I've often pre-ordered games from Blizzard and Bethesda, and in every case I've been more than happy with the result, getting the game either early or at a discount which has taken more than a year for the retail price to match.
But you have to have your wits about you. I purposefully did NOT pre-order dragon age 2 for example, and was proven right when it's a pile of poo IMHO. I did pick it up eventually for a few quid on a knock down offer some time later, and I've still not finished it. But even before release I could tell it wasn't going to be great.

I got all the extras. These feelings of hate towards probably steam from the simcity situation but steam is a better a bad game in my opinion is one that is broken has bad controller support or has a bad story. So i guess its all about you're instincts towards the each game. I havent been a pc gamer for long and preorders for console games never involved free games which is still awesome to me (a new game if its 15 or 30 quid is still one for free)
xcom has no autosave
Anyone spotted were the best pre-order is? I know greenman gaming are doing it with X-com, Darkness 2, Bioshock for £23.99 seems pretty good to me considering at retail its £28.99 with just bioshock free.
