    Mouse Reccomendations and Surface used

I already started a thread on possible Mech keyboards which is so far going down the logi g710 route according to peeps here (if it wasent easter id be able to check one out) but I also want a mouse to complete the combination.

What mouse do you use and what surface do you use it on as ive heard some mice don't like certain surfaces and can cause issue?

have you used other mice and how does it compare?

budget is around £50 max and im not keen on wireless as I have a kree full of wireless devices in my home and my current Keyboard and mouse combo do jump now and again due to interference.

    Thanks all

i would always recomend roccat products
you can pick up a roccat kone+ for around £35 to £45 depending on where your looking
there latest mouse is a roccat kone xtd but there at around the £65 mark

and if you go for there keyboards they work well with each other you will have to read up about them as theres to much info to go thru right now so go check them out you wont be disapointed in there gaming products

top quality high features well worth the price

i am also using there mid size roccat mouse mat at £12 from pcworld 400x320mm
iv tryed the mouse on a clear glass surface and a wooden desk works well with both
iv had other laser mouses before that dont seem to work well on a glass surface
on there drivers theres a surface checking thing that sets it to the best setting to work on that surface im not sure how that works but it does sum how

hope this info is helpfull in sum kinda way

Currently use a Zowie EC1 Evo with a Puretrak Talent.

The Zowie is a lovely mouse, decent shape and size (for me), a couple of side buttons, but no silly features, a good quality sensor that doesn't add lots of neg/pos accel without you wanting it etc.

The Talent is the best soft mat I've tried so far (used a Boogiebug, Steelseries Qck+) a decent size, tracks well, and feels great to use.

Best thing is neither are overly pricey, although you may struggle to get both for £50.

The Puretrak can be had for around £20 (when in stock) and the mouse isn't sold that much anymore, although I wouldn't hesitate in going for another Zowie product, probably looking at £40-50 though.
If you want a cheaper mouse then the G400 is a good choice, flawless sensor, lots of buttons etc, I personally don't like the look and don't find it quite as comfortable but since it's around £25 I think it's a good choice if you're on a budget (I'd personally get a slightly cheaper mech and get the Zowie )

Re: Mouse Reccomendations and Surface used

have you seen this thread? http://forums.hexus.net/pc-gaming/22...ing-mouse.html Might help. I use Logitech MX512 - works on everything except glass - have tried desks, mousemats, white tables, wood, carpet, sofa, jeans, duvet etc etc).

(It's now known as the G400, and soon to be G500 IIRC)
