It looks like my prayers have been answered with big ant cricket 14. It just looks so much better than ashes 13 and I think the only way it could be inferior is if the batting/bowling mechanics aren't as good

The Ashes 2013 game has now been withdrawn from sale according to the BBC.

Saw the article this evening, but as a new member cannot post the link - sorry.

    Re: Any good cricket games?

No one is making cricket games anymore.
EA tried for years but unlike FIFA, cricket games apparently need permissions from all the cricket boards. Apart from ECB and ACB, no one did and so EA could not use real names of the players or their faces. So, you ended up with a player called Saccarine Tedulukarao , who had a beard and was bald! ( rough example )
This disappointed people year after year and sales dropped and EA decided to can the EA Cricket series.

Codemasters made the Brian Lara series but after he retired, they decided not to release games under his name

    EA Cricket 96 97 99 2000 2002 2004 2005 2007
    Codemasters Brian Lara Cricket 94 96 99 2005 2007
Intl Cricket 2010 was released for PS3 and X360 only and I bet it was a backlash for Codemasters

Don Bradman Cricket 14 is the only one that's coming. It looks really good, and we're just waiting for them to fix all the bugs (was gonna release late last year but they postponed it)

For all fans of cricket games Don bradman cricket 14 is the best cricket game yet .It has amazing features such as net play , career mode and the academy where you can create your own players and teams.
Its a wonderful game and the developers are also great bringing out patches monthly and listening to the community on what they want fixed and added to the game. Its the next best thing after Brian lara cricket!

  12. Received thanks from:

    Re: Any good cricket games?

sorry to bring back an old thread but I bought DBC and it is - by far - the best cricket game I have ever played. It's quite hard to get used to the controls at first cos theyre pretty different to anything else we've had but after a while they make complete sense and make for some pretty impressive gameplay
