I thought our team work was sharp in this one. You said as we went into it that if we stuck together and watched eachothers sixes we'd win it. Definitely the case. A big S! to Luke and Dak for getting them off my tail on two occasions. And a big disrespect to the guy who chased me down after I'd already lost my elevaters to another pilot. Fortunately I made it back to the lines and could bail (at this point the game crashed too - so the dude didn't get the killl anyway ).

I was surprised though at how tricky it was to ID the LA7s from the 109s - maybe I'm just rusty, but I was often on top of a 109 before I knew it - having to make very close range snapshots (all missed). I saw one 109 in the middle of a gaggle of LA7's, yet seemingly unaware of the danger it was in (maybe an AI). I guess it's all that grey paint!

She turns beautifully under 450, with combat flaps. Completely leaves the G6's behind in a turn fight. Out runs them in a climb, out dives them too.

One word of warning. That big powerful engine means you have to keep it smooth on the take off otherwise you'll spank it nose first. Happened to someone last night and I nearly did it myself. Plenty of torque there to counter too once the tail comes up.

Clingy..nearly everytime I see you post, I recall your first online VEF kill at Trigs...

The glow of the hidden ball of flame within the clouds ... and the casual spin of the remains of a 109 falling to the sea.

.. and the complaints from the neighbours about the noise afterwards!

    S!
