    Hey guys,

Anyone here played the the Wargame series? I'm getting well into the Beta of Airland Battle.

Have a look at the video and see what you think.

I play European escalation as my standard RTS style game at the moment. Will give Airland a look.

It's awesome, totally hooked. I didn't like the new layout, but you can change it back to the old layout which is a nice touch!

Will watch your video later, and probably pre-order the game. Havent really looked into Airland so far, what's the main differences between it and European Escalation? £22.49 on steam is a pretty good deal, about the level that I will buy new releases at.

    Re: Wargame Airland Battle

Apart from the obvious aircraft improvements, there's a 10v10 mode, which i have to say is so much fun. There's not really a dramatic change to the game it's self, but more units, nations etc....

Just uploaded my Czech deck. Feel free to add comments on what you would change. I feel it will need to be tweaked since my last game.

    Re: Wargame Airland Battle

I haven't played Wargame: European Escalation yet despite there being a Linux client as I much prefer GOG to Steam due to their policies on not having any DRM or regional pricing. The thing is, GOG doesn't support Linux yet, or sell Wargame: European Escalation for that matter, so it may be a while. Wargame: AirLand battle looks excellent judging from the videos I have seen and as the developers are keen Linux fans, Linux support for this title will surely be on their list as well. The gameplay still has me slightly confused but I am sure I'll get the hang of it once I do play it.

    Re: Wargame Airland Battle

I played EE a lot and bough Airland at the weekend. Been playing the campaign mostly and getting re acquainted with the series. Great fun. Was definitely worth the 22.49 I paid. Also having a reduced price for owners of the previous game was a really nice touch.

Would be up for some multilayer games if anyone is interested?

Yeah would be up for that. Maybe you could come and join in with our group? We have our own Teamspeak.

    Re: Wargame Airland Battle

I watched DiplexHeatedHD's videos on this http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list...cUnv1ficyeCLg1 But I get the feeling he sort of petered off on it.
    I'll watch yours now
It does look fun, but does seem like it falls into the issue I personally have with almost all rts games in that there's too much micro management for my liking, so I'll probably find it more fun to watch than play.

    Re: Wargame Airland Battle

Well i'll be uploading much more content over the next few weeks. You're right though, it does take a bit of micro management.

Thanks for watching and subbing if you do.

    Re: Wargame Airland Battle

Just watched that one, considering 3 of the opponents quit early, yes I realise you each get extra resources when someone on your side quits, but 1 vs 4 when a lot of micro management is involved is still a major advantage for you.

Waffle is quite bossy isn't he.
