    Five Up

Does anybody know anything about this book? What it is about? Whether it's any good etc?

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/...roduct-details

Also there was a biography or autobiography of Cateyes Cunningham published a few years back - does anyone know what it is called?

Right is not one of thiers that as yet Ive read however everything else they have done together or on thier own as been quality currently I have

    Johnny Johnson

    Wing Leader
    The Story of Airfighting

    Laddie Lucas

Out of the Blue Role of Luck in Airwarfare 1913 to 1966
Flying Colours The Story of Douglas Bader (He is Baders Bro in Law btw)

    ANd by Both

Glorious Summer The Story of the Battle of Britain
Winged Victory Recollections of 2 RAF Leaders

And Ive yet to be disappointed For that price buy it imho

Dont forget these guys had a few things in common

1 They Pretty much flew through out the war.
2 They knew during and after the war pretty much every significant figure in Air Combat European theatre on both sides.
This gave them access to unpublished works from people like Bader, Galland and many others

    Yep buy it

Re Cunningham Dont know the name of his biography however Ive just read the autobiography of his radar operator

    Night Fighter by

SL C F "Jimmy" Rawnsley and its very very good

If you have an interest in night fighting can I also recommend

Night Fighter Ace by Tony Spooner

Biography of Bob Brabham the 5th highest scoring fighter ace of the common wealth with 29 victories (Included in that list at number 4 is Paddy Finucane of Ireland)

The major difference all his victories were scored in twin engine planes

    1 Blenhiem
    19 Beaufighter
    9 Mossie

Included in that list are 2 FW190s in daylight combat, a FW58, Bucker 131

From Joining RAF in 1939 to been shot down in June 1944 anmd taken POW he never took a break from combat operations even after becoming RAFs youngest ever Wing Leader at 23 he kept flying ranger missions over europe.

A real unknown hero who never received or sort public acclaim he was the most highly decorated fighter pilot of the war DFC.

I know youve an interest in Malta Ive just picked up The Air Battle for Malta James Douglas-Hamilton which looks promising Ill let you know

    S!!
