Soz Dak
We both got killed last night because of my n00b mistake! Saw this plane drop in behind Dak from on high and while I was wondering whether it was friendly or not, dak was having his a*** ripped off. Then while I was apologising for that I suffered a similar fate!
Lesson - Gain height before setting off to the combat area. Regroup whenever possible.

When you're a bit rusty the ID often gets a bit shakey - I've been terrible of late.
It's tricky with all these grey painted LA-7s knocking around too
I reckon the policy should be, if you see a plane drop in behind your leader/wingman from on high, to shout 'check 6, break' and ID the bastard later - when he's nice and close in your sights :).
I had two good leader/wingman missions with Luke last night. Good communication and tight flying - the way it should be. Luke, you're cracking at keeping your wingy informed of your moves, actions, and motives - this meant I rarely lost a sense of where you were.

Luke is good. So is Tumble.
CLingy mate.....it happens :(

Oh we were flying well together for the most part. We were turn fighting each other for at least 10 minutes. You are dead right the markings look so like black crosses from medium distance. I'd just got into a good firing position and had said to Dak "Just going to fire" when I followed it up with "Oh its you" .
We had been fine, but realised the action was further north and decided to head off that way....so eye of the ball etc.

Was good team work mate :) Our only mistake was not getting hieght before heading north...And we were bounced by the best current OKL pairing of Platon and Pegasuse
