    Gaming pc build

    Hey, I'm fairly new to the pc gaming scene but looking for some pretty decent tech. I've been doing a fair amount of research but could definitely do with a pro's insight.

    Cpu= AMD Phenhom II or Amd Fx 8320
    Motherboard=Asus p8z77
    Gpu=Gigabyte Nvidia Gtx 650 ti
    Ram= Corsair 8gb ddr3 1600Mhz
    Psu= corsair 600w

    feed back on my thoughts above would be greatly appreciated thank you

    sincerely Sheppy

    Re: Gaming pc build

    Is the PC only for gaming?
    Where are you putting it and is noise a problem?
    Budget?
    Screen size?

    the p8z77 is a Intel socket 115 mobo.

    What is the PSU model? 600w is probably overkill.

    Check amazon for crucial ballistix. There are 4gb for £20.

    EDIT: beaten by the Mooseman again!

    Re: Gaming pc build

    Private study, Noise is no problem... what would you recommend for gaming only. Lets say the budget around £500/£600 what's the best I can do?

    Just a generic case and 1tb hard drive not sure about anything else about it. Peripherals, monitor and os I can worry about later. I'm just looking at the actual system it's self atm

    Re: Gaming pc build

    Two of these Crucial BLT4G3D1869DT1TX0CEU 4GB Ballistix Tactical Memory £41

    EVGA GeForce GTX 660 NVIDIA Graphics Card - 2GB.
    £157 - sell metro unless you're getting it anyway. or get the £147 PNY one or risk pixmania for a 7870 oem for £150.

    XFX Core Edition PRO450W. £38 but on order currently. £36.50 at scan.

    1TB HDD £40

    Corsair Carbide Series 200R £60 (can do better)

    Windows 8 for £70 or 7 for £60

    3570k £160

    Z77 motherboard £60-70. Scour ebay business sellers and Froogle.

    No cooler or SSD though. OOh needs an optical drive £12. I give up this is too much work.
